Yuvi
Yuvi (born Yuval Gold) is an internationally acclaimed graffiti-inspired pop artist whose vibrant and textured mixed-media works bring street energy into the gallery space. Based in Tel Aviv, his art fuses traditional and digital techniques-layering paint, printed paper, silkscreen elements, inks, spray paint, collage, sand, glass fragments, and handwritten imagery-to produce animated compositions that pulse with life and tactile depth.
Born in the cosmopolitan Florentine district of Tel Aviv in the late 1970s, Yuvi grew up immersed in graffiti, music, politics, and social activism. These vibrant elements of urban culture fueled his creative spirit and laid the foundation for his bold visual language. After studying graphic design, he traveled across Europe and spent time in the United States, where he absorbed diverse artistic styles and cultural influences, including the work of icons like Andy Warhol and Banksy.
Yuvi's dynamic compositions feature an eclectic mix of subjects-from superheroes, scientists, and movie stars to animals and abstract dreamscapes. Through humor and defiance, his work challenges cultural norms and celebrates popular icons with a playful, subversive edge. Each piece is deeply personal, offering both social commentary and affectionate homage. His creative process is uniquely physical-often working with his bare hands, Yuvi brings an extraordinary sense of touch to his art, making each work highly textured and emotionally resonant.
His bold aesthetic and intense energy have garnered him a global audience. Yuvi's work is represented in galleries across the UK, USA, Milan, Hong Kong, Dubai, and beyond. Exhibitions in cities such as New York and New Delhi have showcased his striking blend of street culture and fine art, further broadening his reach among collectors and enthusiasts.
Yuvi's vibrant, tactile approach continues to redefine the expectations of pop and graffiti art. His multi-layered method, fueled by bold colour, rich materials, and a bracing sense of humour, invites viewers into a world where the streets come alive, nostalgia meets innovation, and every texture tells a story.
